THE SEASON OF LENT begins this week with our moving Ash Wednesday Service on February 13th at 7:00 p.m. This deeply evocative service reminds us of our frailty and God’s power to raise the dead. This evening does NOT include dinner. WEDNESDAYS IN LENT beginning February 20th – We will launch our mid-week Lenten theme – “Lessons from a Boy and his Horse” – which is brief, uplifting, interactive, child-friendly worship, based on the WW1 movie, “War Horse.” A special gift is planned each week for the children. We will be providing child care during the worship service and for Easter Cantata rehearsal. Homemade soups and sandwiches will be served at 5:30 p.m. followed by Lenten Worship service at 6:15 p.m. We are in need of volunteers to make the delicious soups and sandwiches, help with set-up and clean-up. Please sign up on the clipboard, the worship card or call the office at 248-4211 if you are able to help in any way! Many thanks to Linda Burkart for serving as our meal coordinator. See the white insert for details!
