As people of faith, we are entering one of the most moving times in the whole year. Holy Week begins with the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, then finds us around the table with Jesus for the Last Supper, places us as witnesses to the crucifixion of Jesus on Good Friday, and finally astonishes us with the amazing news that Christ is risen on Easter. With millions of Christians around the world, we rehearse and remember the mighty acts of God that gives us hope and new life.
We look forward to having you with us at each of these important events. Members of Immanuel have been working for months to prepare special worship services, including powerful dramas and a superb Cantata musical, EXTRAVAGANT LOVE! This is a very special time to deepen your faith, renew your spirit, and increase your joy. The Holy Week schedule is below.
The week gives you a great opportunity to invite a friend, family member, or co-worker to “come and see.” Do not underestimate the ways lives can be changed by a single word of welcome, or one experience of worship.
We plan to sing robustly, pray fervently, and hug each of you vigorously as we celebrate the wonder of God’s EXTRAVAGANT love that has come to us in Jesus Christ.
