Dear Members of Immanuel, as this year’s coordinators of the Lake Geneva Salvation Army Kettle Drive, we would like to thank the members of Immanuel for your generous gift of time and money this holiday season. Many of you braved the cold, wind and rain to man the kettles on seven different days during which time we collected over $3,000. Immanuel did the lion’s share of the ringing even filling in at the last minute for several groups who had trouble filling their time commitment. With the help of other churches and organizations, we collected over $18,000 to be used for individuals and families in need in Walworth County throughout the year. This year we again asked for “weekend coordinators” to put out the kettles in the morning, exchange them at around 1 pm, collect them at night and deposit money in the bank. Many thanks to those of you who took on this time-consuming job – Steve and Judy Guy, Todd and Erin Huemann, Vijay Narayanan, Tom Hartz and Pete Juergens. They helped lighten the load for us. We couldn’t have done it without them. Together we will now be able to make a difference this coming year in the lives of those in need of emergency help. Thanks for your heart to care! Sincerely, Georgia and Bill Gehrmann.
